What are Capricorns like

Just a bit of fun really with this post. I’m expecting a baby in January 2026 and it’s most likely going to be a Capricorn! What are they like in general? I’m a Gemini and my other child is a Leo. I don’t think I have any Capricorn’s in the family. Also if you are born in January how do you find it? I always find it cold and miserable!

My two are both capricorns born early Jan, they’re brilliant with very different personalities so far. Can’t lie the Jan birthdays are a struggle as it’s so cold & miserable & everyone is getting over Christmas then we’re straight on to birthdays but on the flip side it really does make Jan go faster having something else to focus on & helps get over the post Christmas dip so I’m actually turning out to be a fan of the Jan birthday!

We find that people are always free for parties! Yes you are limited to indoors only really and the children get all the excitement of Christmas & birthday squeezed into a couple of weeks then that’s it until next year. However we often get money for them from family and we save that for a nice day out in the summer rather than buying more things they don’t need. They don’t know any different!

It’s a bit of a non issue. Just make sure you set aside money all year as parties are a killer cost wise after Christmas….and it’s difficult to do an indoor party cheaper. Lots of January birthdays here and lots of completely different personalities (as you would expect)

Im a Capricorn. It is pretty miserable having your birthday smack bang in the middle of the darkest month! No one has any money on the 13th January to do anything exciting!
I think I’m a very typical Capricorn woman when I read what one generally presents like. I am ambitious and stubborn and can be emotionally detached. I’m very guarded and don’t like people knowing my business.

Capricorn here.

Get given Christmas presents from my MIL with a "that's for your birthday too". It's become a bit of a running joke.

Very driven, very clever, yes stubborn to a fault. My wife would probably call me a bit of a closed book but I do have some childhood trauma that is the reason I struggle to open up.

Yes to the driven, clever, ambitious (makes us successful). Tend to be mature as children but I’m looking forward to dancing on the tables when I’m 80. Congratulations on your little goat.

I’m a Capricorn, standard issue. Capable, ambitious, but also ADHD which means I haven’t always behaved like a good goat. I found I have a soft spot for other Capricorns because I don’t think our lives are easy as such.

I’m a Capricorn as is my daughter who was born New Year’s Eve (she’s 17). I’ve got one due in January too so that’ll be 3 of us then all within 10 days of each other hopefully 😂!! We’re both clever, stubborn, a little anxious 😂 and very traditional!! My boy who was born in July is very different to us. January is a bit of a pants time to have a birthday but it is what it is 😂

I also married a Capricorn, born 4 days before me, so we take a week holiday for our birthdays every year. After many years of pants January birthdays it’s nice to celebrate with a quick trip to a European city.

Sounds like I’ve got my hands full with a Capricorn 🤣 especially when they are a teenager if they are stubborn 🤣 I’m a Gemini and I guess we are totally different!

My mum, brother and DH are capricorns. I don’t know what qualities capricorns are supposed to have, but I would say that all three of them are:

  • family focussed
  • keep a small group of close friends rather than lots of acquaintances
  • stubborn but not really in terms of argumentative, just it’s very hard to change their minds if they are set
  • very considered
