Confusion about maternity leave - help.

So I’m working for a family company where I’m their only employee. I’ve been told I will be paid a full pay for a first 3 months and I’m taking 1 extra month which will be SMP.
I have planned section for 20th of May so obviously my maternity will start from that day for 3 months.
my problem is - how would that work if my boss pays me always at the end of the month, not on 20th? So she will continue paying me at the end of May, June and July and then in August she only pays me up to 20th of August (as then 3 months of maternity will end) and then from 20th of August till end of August I will receive SMP? Is that how it’s going to work? I feel confused about all this.

I was hoping maybe someone on this forum works in HR and could advise me?

You get SMP via your employer. So in August, you’ll get (about) 2/3rds of your salary, + 10 days of SMP.
