Perinatal mental health appointment

Hi - I’m just getting to the end of my second trimester and have been into triage twice in a few days - 1st for unusual pain which they originally put down to a UTI based on white blood cells in my urine and then because my baby’s movement pattern didn’t seem usual.
Everything is fine and I’m happy now but I’ve just opened Badger notes and seen I’ve been referred to the perinatal mental health team. Is this normal? I’m really upset that after being told to ‘come in, it’s fine, we’d rather check!’ it appears my mental heart is being questioned.

It could be in error. I have a preexisting MH condition so am always under the perinatal MH team and to be honest there can be quite a high bar for seeing them.
Do you have any history that might have only just been picked up?
I'd probably give your midwife a call tomorrow and ask for clarification.

I don’t have any history with mental health at all which is why I’m so confused - the only thing that has changed is that I’ve been to triage recently!

I'd say it probably is related to the visit but maybe not because of the visit. Maybe they were meant to tick a different box related to the visit and accidentally clicked perinatal MH. I'd give them a ring and ask for clarification.
