Help, bleeding 6 weeks pregnant

On a cruise atm. 6 weeks pregnant. And suddenly I am experiencing some cramping and some bleeding.

bright red, started about 3 hours ago. Not very heavy. I’m not able to contact my midwife (I haven’t been assigned one) and I can’t contact my doctor about it either as can’t get a proper signal to call them from where I am.

what do I do? What can I do?

Unfortunately there isnt much you can do other than speak to your GP or go to A&E. Even then its a long wait for A&E.

There is no a&e I could go to.

it’s just horrible. It’s my first pregnancy after 10 years of trying. And now this. Am devestated abd wint know anything until I get home at this rate.

I'm so sorry OP 😢 Is there a doctor on the ship? Someone in authority who you could explain to who could help / get someone to help you?

It's very normal to bleed in early pregnancy! The only thing to do unfortunately is wait and see if it continues or stops. Then when you're off the cruise phone the EPU. It's so much easier to say than do of course.

See if you can speak to a medical professional on the ship. But I think your realistic options are either to pay £££ to leave the cruise early and go home, or wait it out and buy a pregnancy test on the ship if it has a pharmacy, or somewhere on land next time it docks. You will have a long wait at a&e if you scope out a hospital next time it docks and the ship may leave without you.

It’s not heavy like my periods would normally be. It seemed lighter the last time I wiped.

god I just wish this would go perfectly. I don’t know what I’ll be like if this goes badly. And my husband. God.

@BmlhilI'm so so sorry you’re going through this. How awful for you. Nothing scarier than red blood in pregnancy. As others have said, worth speaking to a medic on the ship and waiting to see. Bleeding isn’t always a bad sign, I bled in both my successful pregnancies.

Went to see the doctor on the boat. I have a uti. But I’m still bleeding.

the doctor said it’s a wait and see scenario.

still terrified.

The issue is that there’s no pain or clotting. Just blood. I dunno. I’m hoping and praying.

ok, so because usually when i read these there isn't an ending message. If anyone reads this, unfortunately it was a heart-breaking sad result for us. I hope anyone else going through this has a better result.
