Opk dark at 8dpo.. getting darker not lighter?

Hi all,

pretty sure of ovulation day as I had crazy strong signs and pains which then subsided and my opks then turned negative. I was tacking from cycle day 8 and finally got clearblue peak positive on cycle day 32/33!! My cycles have been long since a mc in feb. Opks stayed fairly dark though since o day when they usually go faint. I’ve had cramps 5,6 and 7 do but ran out of pregnancy strips so thought id try an opk. It’s fairly dark for this stage could this mean anything like pregnancy? Or am I clutching at straws? I’ve added pics . Thanks

Order some early response tests from Amazon or grab some cheapies from boots. using ovulation strips isn’t going to give you a clear answer on pregnancy.

Yes I know , you’re right.
Im trying to hold out to see if my period comes because I am worried it will be negative but I’m not sure I’ll be able to hold out until then! I’ve had loads of cramping on and off today too. Unusual for me but I’m trying not to read too much into it.

UPDATE: just took a cheap pregnancy test and there’s a very very faint line but it’s thick. I’m not counting it as a positive yet though as it’s so faint you’d probably miss it . Hopefully I can come back with a positive update in a few days but we shall see. 🤞🏼may be imagining it

Took another and it’s even paler like not even noticeable at all grr. This is why I don’t test early. Feel so deflated. Wondering if there’s something wrong because I’m having all these cramps too. Opk is even darker. This is so weird. I am certain I ovulated too.

I mean this in the nicest way but I am absolutely gob snacked over the amount of threads on this form that say/ask the same thing every time!

Use first morning urine as the concentration of HCG will be higher. You tested two hours later - probably after fluids etc so your urine would have been dilated!

Test again in the morning but he’s the first pee of the day for clearer results. I’d the result still isn’t clear, wait a couple of days and test again as HCG doubles every 48 hours.

Tested again this morning and I’m calling it a bfn so I’ve no idea what’s going on. I’ve always managed to conceive first or second time . This is now second ovulation since mc but I think I’ll just keep going as I know it can take up to a year just I’ve always been really quick. I think I’ll test again in two days time and see but I usually have a faint line by now. Next month I’ll just take it easy I think and definitely stop symptom spotting and testing early it’s just not worth it. I’m 37 next month so maybe it’ll just take more time.
