After some internet opinions! Here are the dates & stats:

9 March LMP (not regular cycles since period returned 20 months post-partum in August 2024);
24 March: LH surge (evening; wasn't showing in morning)
24, 25 & 26 March: Did the 'deed'
4 April: Negative test (was a "results as soon as six days before period" type of test)
6 April: Negative test
16 April: Positive test. EDD 14 December based on LMP.
22 April: HCG level 6,400.
30 April: "7 week scan" but showing as 5wk 5 day based on CRL of 3.5mm. Heartbeat was 116bpm. Revised EDD 26 December.

Have had tiredness, strong nausea / flushes / food aversions.

Can this be normal or is it not progressing as it should?

I think at such an early stage the CRL isn't very accurate. Mine was 2.8mm at 6w3d and was recorded as "consistent with dates". A scan at 8weeks then had growth as spot on. Seeing the heartbeat is a good sign!

Thank you! I think it's more because it's been five weeks since ovulation so I don't see how I can be just 5w5d when technically it should be more like 7wk. The result isn't consistent with dates and that's what gets me worried. It just wouldn't make sense for my HCG to have been 6,400 at what would have then been 4w4d (normal range for that stage is about 10 - 708 mIU/m I think).

I am sorry you are going through this. When I had similar worries I did lots of research and couldn't find any consistency between CRL and estimated weeks at such an early stage. E.g I was told by the EPU 2.8mm was fine for 6w3d whereas you were told 3.5mm meant 5w5d! It's such a tiny measurement too being 1mm out would make such a difference. Do you have a follow up scan booked?
