Faint line

I was recently told that my chances of getting pregnant are 2%. In peri, 43 years old, so quite understandable. So my suggested option was egg donor.
As my previous cycle got missed for a first time ever, I obviously stressed about it even more, and sort of didn’t write down the period dates as they were different to the cycle I was used to. And my ovulation test after came as peak 3 days earlier than normally. But today I took a pregnancy test, just as my period still hadn’t arrived. I now expect my periods to fluctuate more and more, so I wasn’t expecting to potentially get faint lines on the test considering the recent blow.
but - do we actually think it might be faint line? One test was done in the morning, another one 12 hours after.
i have done many pregnancy test in the past and never anything like that. But obviously due to my low chances I’m just confused and don’t want to get my hopes up.

That's not a faint line! That's a strong positive! Congratulations!

Those are both definitely positive.

Oh Really? I haven’t got other tests at home, so have to wait till tomorrow, I’m not sure how accurate these are. As I don’t feel any symptoms, I was trying to be more realistic and really not put my hopes up. Now I’m even more impatient. But I guess🤞

They're accurate - for both of mine at about 12dpo it was a faint shadow. I didn't get this until I was about six weeks pregnant. You're very much pregnant 🥳

Well now I’m panicking 🤣😱. In a good way obviously. I am supposed to have a scan on Thursday anyway through nhs, which I was expecting to just confirm what the test from private clinic said - 3 weeks ago it was ‘no follicles in the ovaries’, 2% chance max. Start looking into donor options. So this is a bit of an unexpected turnaround.

😱😱😱 thank you I guess? I really don’t know how to feel just yet, years of hope and disappointment, I guess I built quite a defence.

Absolutely positive.
Who provided the 2% pregnancy statistic and was that just a pregnancy figure or an actual live birth rate?
You have a long road ahead of you but what wonderful news.

It was the private fertility clinic. It was based on my very low ovarian reserve, so chances of spontaneous pregnancy or successful IVF treatment with my own eggs were estimated to be less than 2%.
But at the same time I was throwing acupuncture treatments in, including moxibustion, and still continuing to do so. I thought I can’t make it worse, and even if I would have to choose the egg donor route, acupuncture is helping with many things, including sleep and stress release. Well, me reducing stress by looking into different plan and sort of making my peace with it might have contributed to potentially unexpected pregnancy. Well, I guess I now need an official confirmation 🤞
