Hi guys, hoping someone can offer me some reassurance or advice.

I have just found out that I am pregnant (5 weeks) and my first thoughts have already been about my body and wondering if I will even look pregnant as a size 16/18.

Picture is my stomach currently.
I've always imagined being pregnant and getting the bump and taking the pictures but as a plus size girl I'm thinking that maybe that won't happen for me.

Any reassurance or advice would be much appreciated ☺️

Firstly congratulations ❤️Hope it all goes well for you.

& yes you will have a bump. It may not appear as quick as it could for a smaller sized woman but it’ll happen. Especially as baby grows.
I’m plus size and it took near the end of my 2nd trimester to show properly. I used to think the same as you but take those bump pictures and you’ll soon see it x

Aww this is how I exactly felt when I was pregnant with my 1st but you will get a bump don’t worry!! I was a size 16/18 too and still am I and started showing around 18 weeks then just kept getting rounder. I found my bump was better when I wore my big pants over it 😂made it neater. I’m currently 5 plus weeks pregnant too 🥰

Congratulations OP.

As a size 16/18 who just had my baby, I can assure you that you should still have a bump although it may take longer to become noticeable or at least that was my experience.

I have included an image of my bump around the 36 week mark below which is when it really popped.

Yep. I'm a 16-18 too and bump is definitely visible, I did think I'd probably just look like I gained a few but my bumps rounded now and I'm almost 24 weeks, just getting bigger each day. Congratulations!

I’m about a UK 18 and was worried but have a bump at 14 weeks! it’s small and only popped last couple of days but it’s deffo looking pregnant now and rounder. I’m tall too, (5’11) so have been pleasantly surprised!
