16 week ultrasound measurements

I had a private ultrasound done yesterday at 16w0d and these were the measurements, I looked online and it said that 19mm for the femur length is quite short for this gestation. She did only measure once and didn't raise any concerns but now I'm worrying myself! Just wondering if anyone had similar and how things were.

Don’t worry too much. Every baby is different, as we are all different. A difference of 1mm is quite frankly a couple of strands of hair. My baby is also measuring small but neither midwife or sonographer are concerned 🙂

Hi at my 21 weeks scan my baby girl was 23rd percentile and I worried but the midwife sonography and my consult didn’t bat an eyelid. I’m now nearly 24 weeks pregnant and trying to not worry and it will be fine. Some babies can’t be average xx

If the sonographer wasn't worried then I wouldn't be either. I find sometimes they do very rough measurements. At my 20 week scan baby's FL came up 21st centile and I just happened to say 'oh is that weird because DH and I are quite tall?' And she literally said 'oh I might have been a bit mean with that, I'll redo it.' And then remeasured 3 times which came out as the 80th centile, so a serious jump😅 Might be inaccurate, or maybe just slightly smaller than average. Your 20 week scan will be soon and show a lot more 😊

At this stage in pregnancy my daughter’s head circumference was measuring on the 3rd percentile. I was freaking out. She was born with a head on the 50th percentile and if there’s anything unusual about her little conk now it’s only that it’s so extremely pretty (says her mother). They don’t all grow at the same speed and their various body parts seem to have staggered growth spurts. Unless someone tells you otherwise I’m very clear terms I think you should assume your little one is just perfect and enjoy your pregnancy.

19mm is well within normal for 16 weeks, around 30th centile (anything between 10th-90th centile is normal for the measurements). Your other measures are also normal :)

Thank you all for the reassurance, it's very much appreciated ❤️
