Bleeding 6 weeks pregnant

Hi guys, I have been bleeding for the last 4 days, I’m 6 weeks pregnant and I had a scan on Friday and they said everything was fine with the baby, they had a heartbeat and everything looked fine. But the bleeding is getting heavier, I’m not soaking through towels but every time I go to the toilet and wipe there is bright red blood with really small clots and a small amount in the toilet. I also went to a doctor last night, he checked me over and said I seem okay and some women can just bleed throughout pregnancy, he also said bleeding is common at 6 weeks.. Has anyone else experienced this and everything has turned out okay? I’m so worried and would love to hear some positive stories.

I had some light spotting at around 7 weeks and had a scan done at the early Pregnancy unit at my local hospital. You should be able to just go in on Monday morning without an appointment but every trust works differently.

Some women do bleed whilst others do not so it’s really important that you get another scan done so you know what’s happening in your body. Best of luck x

Thanks lovely, I went to A&E as the bleeding is quite heavy this evening with clots 😢 they couldn’t tell me much sadly just did a blood test, they said the early pregnancy unit wouldn’t be able to offer a scan until Wednesday. I have booked a private scan for tomorrow, all we can do is hope and pray 🙏

My 10 day heavy bleeding with huge clots and dark red blood is now 6 years old.
