TMI PHOTO MUCUS PLUG

I'm 41+2 and not sure if this is anything to worry about? I can't remember my mucus plug last time. Does this look normal?

The thing which looks similar and is to worry about would be leaking greenish amniotic fluid. That would be a similar colour to the mucus plug, but watery and obviously leaking. It feels like you’ve done a wee with no control over it, and has a very specific smell (similar to semen). Leaking would mean that your waters broke, green that the baby has pooped, and both would be a reason for induction unless labour started soon after (which it is likely to anyway).

So I would not worry, but I’d pack the last bits into my hospital bag, sort the childcare, refill my water bottle, charge my phone, and expect to be leaving soon!! Good luck!!

Still no actual contractions yet, just some period pains. Really hope today's the day.

Period type pains indicate labour could start soon. Fingers crossed for you

Still having the period pains... definitely having tightenings but they're not painful so not sure if they're just braxton hicks. Unless I'm in denial. I knew it was Labour straight away with my first but this one is so different.
