Hi lovely ladies, im nearly 28w pregnant and a few nights ago I got what I thought was gastro/norovirus/stomach bug. The vomiting lasted one night and morning and then i felt rubbish, no vomiting for 2 days then randomly started again middle of the night after eating dinner that eve. Stopped again and been able to have food. Have had IV fluids from midwives as was dehydrated.

Anyway tonight I have been eating, and i’m getting that sicky feeling again but it feels like heartburn that’s going to turn into vomit? I randomly started experiencing this at night time only a few weeks ago sporadically and not every night. I’ve been thinking this is a stomach bug or something but it’s been going on on and off for a few weeks now and now i’m thinking is it just regular heart burn + acid reflux + morning sickness at night?

Has anyone had any experience w this? Midwives and drs been no help to be honest!

Thanks ladies x

I’ve had hyperemesis the whole way through my pregnancy.

It was hideous from weeks 5-24. Then I had a short break where things seemed to get better. Unfortunately at 28 weeks the sickness came back in full swing. Midwife told me that can happen to some women in the third trimester around that time so maybe that’s what you’re experiencing! If it doesn’t settle down and does turn out to be morning sickness don’t suffer in silence. Speak to your GP/midwife and get medication! I’m still on xonvea and cyclizine at 34 weeks!

Could also be acid reflux. I suffered from that in my first pregnancy. I would literally wake up choking on acid and then projectile vomit the first few times it happened. Speak to ur midwife.
rennies helped me initially. Then I was prescribed omeprazole which did help alongside ice lollies xx
