Positive test, really afraid

Myself and husband have been trying for a baby for 10 years and finally this morning there was a positive test.

im terrified. Because I want this so badly and about three hours after the positive test I started to have small cramps and I’m now convinced my period is going to start.

I keep checking every half and hour or so just to make sure it hasn’t.

I was expecting to be so excited and happy about this but instead I just feel scared.

Congratulations! I completely empathise with the pregnancy anxiety 💕 It's hard not to over analyse every symptom. Cramps are a super common symptom in pregnancy. I got them on and off throughout the whole first trimester.

I completely understand where you’re coming from! I’m around 7/8 weeks and have been struggling with anxiety surrounding symptoms etc but my first real symptom was cramping and bloating which, like you, seemed to start as soon as I found out! From what I’ve read and heard, unless you are experiencing severe pain that isn’t normal for you, most cramping is normal, especially early on.

Congratulations 💜 it's so normal to feel this way, especially after waiting for so long! I had this exact feeling on and off for a couple of weeks it felt like my period was coming. I'll be honest, until a good few weeks into the second trimester I think I held my breath. But it does get easier each week and while anxieties are always there, I find they get less and less over time. Sending you so much positivity on your journey!!💜
