Sore Throat

Hey guys

I am 18 weeks and 4 days pregnant and about 4 days ago I started to get this dry cough which has slowly turned into this extreme sore throat at night times. It's almost like someone has grated the back of my tongue. I had the nurse look at it she said my throat didn't look 'that bad' but the pain is horrid.
I wondered if anyone else had this? It hurts most at night time during the day it settles.

It's probably the dryness at night that's exacerbating it. Have you got a difflam throat spray? If not, it can be a game changer for a sore throat. I'm sure it's fine in pregnancy to but worth double checking with a pharmacist xxx good luck with everything

Not a lot for sore throats in pregnancy sadly other than paracetamol, stay hydrated to keep throat lubricated, you can have soothers throat lozenges or perhaps even do a salty water gargle with warm water. A humidifier at night might also help with the dryness. Feel better soon.

? reflux. Omeprazole might help.

Only thing that really help me was soothers . And hot water with honey and lemon.
