Complete molar pregnancy

Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with molar pregnancy and had D&C done. Blood test for hcg is a week later.

Have anyone heard or been through a Complete molar pregnancy? If yes, could you share what was the treatment provided to you and your recovery experience? Ant details are much appreciated. I read that there are higher chances of it turning into cancer if hcg doesnt go down after D&C especially if it's a 'Complete' type of molar pregnancy. Very worried and anxious till the day of my blood test now. I'm also hoping to conceive again after recovering but have no idea how long it would take to recover and my age is catching up (turning 40 this year) :(

Wishing you all the luck OP for another pregnancy. It would be lovely to have guarantees but you know the reality already. There isn't a way to know things are ok until, as you say, you hear a heartbeat but you can follow the advice e.g. for folic acid, don't cut any nutrients out of your diet or take up extreme sports (exercise is good though!). Aside from that you cannot change the mother nature aspects of whether pregnancy continues smoothly. There are many like me who did have a subsequent regular pregnancy so it can happen and I hope it does for you x

Hi OP. I'm glad that you're doing well and I just want to say that it's completely normal to be nervous. I commented here that I had a cmp between dc 1 & dc2. I should have also said that I now have 4 dcs so I had 3 successful pregnancies after my cmp. There absolutely is hope! Wishing you the best.

Thank you for your wishes, @nottheplan!! ❤️ May I know how soon you successfully conceived after cmp?

Hi all, just wanted to check, did anyone have delayed menstruation after cmp? I am on day 34 now and haven't got my period. My previous cycle came on day 29. Before cmp, my menstruation cycle was very regular between day 28 - 32. It never went beyond that 🙄

My cmp was found / had the d&c in Jan and I was given the all clear to try again by October. I got pregnant in the December. So it took about 9 months to get my hcg back to zero. I'm told that it was extremely high to begin with though.

Hi All, i am really scared here now. I had my last period on 18th may and then took pregnancy test on 23rd June. Was very surprised that I conceived by my own as my daughter was born in Covid times after 1.5 years unexplained infertility. But my excitement was short lived as on my 10 weeks of viabilty scan i didnt had a heartbeat and my gestation was measuring 6weeks 6 days. The sonographer said then and their that i had missed miscarraige. But gynae gave me a week to see the progess. My scan was schedule on 8th aug but from 6th aug i started bleeding and periods kind of pain. But it was like a normal period and no tissues were passed so they ask me to have a scan on scheduled day. Today at 8th aug i had scan and they are saying there is abnormal pregnancy sac lining so they are suspecting molar pregnancy . So, they have booked me for D & C on monday 11 Aug. And on sunday 10 th aug they do my blood work. I am very scared. i am hearing about molar pregnancy for first time and its' rare case of cancer is making me extremly worried.
