Is this a good sign ovulation is around the corner?

Hi all,

I'm on my first proper cycle post mc.
i usually have 34 day cycles but im currently cd 30 and no positive opk as yet.

the last three days I’ve had loads of ewcm.. so much it made me notice , which it hasn’t in the past. Then my right ovary area has been tender . I had a scan yesterday and it showed a dominant follicle 11mm on the right side. Still have ewcm and my opk this morning was not positive. I will attach photo to the post.

is this a good indicator that I should ovulate some time soon? After my mc I had a positive opk cycle day 30/31.im just trying to figure out when it could happen to plan inter course around it ttc.

It's really hard to tell sometimes. I'd just bonk every other day until your period to cover all bases!!

thanks! I guess I’m worried I won’t ovulate for some reason. We’re at it almost every night and it may all be for nothing 🤦‍♀️

Hey I’m not sure if this will help but I had my miscarriage at the end of feb and i believe I ovulated CD19 after the miscarriage but we avoided sex until I had my first period which came 31 days later. I tracked my ovulation from CD 12 this cycle to see what id peak. If you see on my tests you can see CD 19 isn’t positive but it’s a good colour but I still believed I hadn’t ovulated but I had ovulation cramps that evening so i believe I missed my peak in the early hours CD19 because I continued to track ovulation and just kept getting lighter!! I got a BFP CD30 this cycle 11dpo I’m still in shock because i honestly thought I missed my peak or I hadn’t ovulated but we DTD twice that week. I hope this helps in some way x

for me I get EWCM lead up to ovulation for about 2-3 days to the point I get irritated of the amount. First I thought I would ovulate when it starts but when tracking it to actual CD1 I learnt I ovulated a few days from its start. I actually used EWCM as an indication to DTD. It took the pressure off from doing test strips and it worked much better for us.

Thank you. Yes I am really hoping it’s a good sign that I will ovulate. It seems to be crazy amounts which I’ve never had like this before so I’m taking that as a positive.. I hope I ovulate soon and even better if I get pregnant but we shall see ♥️

I would think your mc is still impacting your ovulation and your body needs time to return to normal. I would just DTD while you have EWCM and if your periods finally start go backwards about 14 days to see what your test showed that day. If in next cycle you get EWCM again I would take that as an indication to DTD again even if the tests show low.

Yeah that’s a really good idea. Tbh the tests are stressing me out. Might just bin them! Doesn’t help that I purchased the wrong sticks for my cb digi ovulation test. I accidentally ordered the ones for the clear blue monitor. They actually still work in the ovulation test but now I’m worried it’s not giving me a peak because I’m using the wrong sticks. The lh is much higher than the estrogen line today so in my opinion it looks like a peak stick. I feel so silly for using the wrong sticks!!!

Have started having really painful o pain. This always happens just before and then during ovulation for me. Wondering if I’ve maybe missed the surge now? But I’ve been testing like a mad woman. Will keep testing and try to get some action this evening and as much as we can over next few days I think to cover all basis. 🤣

I would forget texting for this cycle and just DTD as much as possible to maximise your changes. If your periods arrive then test again in next cycle. Good luck!

Update:

Decided it wouldn’t hurt to carry on using the rest of the sticks seeing as I was just going to throw them out anyways with them being the wrong ones.

I finally got a peak result this morning. Finally on CD32! Having some on off ovary pain on right hand side which I get every time so I did suspect it was on its way.

we managed to do it last night and going to try tonight and tomorrow morning and maybe Sunday but we will see.

Next month I think I’ll just trust my body and wait for the usual signs and go from there.
