Thrush second trimester

I'm almost 23 weeks and I'm pretty certain I've got thrush. The doctor gave me external cream a few weeks ago but the itch is from the inside and I've got the typical cottage cheese like discharge. I'm wondering is canestan pessarys okay to take during pregnancy?

They are but I tried to buy at a pharmacist whilst pregnant and they wanted a prescription from my midwife. I just sent a friend in to buy it instead

My midwife prescribed canesten pessarys when I was in the 1st trimester, but I wasn’t allowed to use the plastic applicator. Not sure if this would be the same in the second trimester, but best to check!
