I had my 12 week scan on Friday and everything looked great but it seems like overnight my nausea, food aversions etc. have all disappeared. I know they say things can start to ease up around the 12 week mark but I didn't expect it to be overnight. I've previously had a missed miscarriage so naturally my mind is in overdrive.

Anyone else experience anything similar?

Hiya, I had this with all of my pregnancies and all have been fine. Midwife told me is because the placenta takes over doing the work so you start to feel a lot better.

Aw try not to worry OP, I’m sure everything is absolutely fine. Symptoms are funny and can stop and start like that. I remember being really fixated on them and my midwife telling me that contrary to popular opinion, strength of symptoms are not a sign of how well the pregnancy is progressing. Also it would be normal for symptoms to drop off at this stage as you move into next trimester… try not to worry 🩵

Was it a sudden drop off? Boobs are still tender if I press on them (which I'm doing almost obsessively 😩)

@BellaRosexyea with my DD it was literally over night and like you I got obsessed with trying to find at least one symptom. She is now 11 weeks old. I really hope you can start to relax and enjoy your pregnancy x

Thanks for this! That's reassuring! And congratulations x

Yes it is normal for this to happen! And fwiw, a positive scan at 12 weeks means the likelihood of a loss drops to a teeny tiny percentage. So I understand the worry given what you've been through before, but most likely everything is just fine!
