Curious only about those who had fully medicated FETs.

I've been told to stop cold turkey at 12 weeks which I did yesterday but feeling a little anxious.

in my clinic the protocol is to stop at 8 weeks but given my history of loss they advised progesterone to 12 weeks and to come off estrogen at 8. I also attend miscarriage clinic and they want to keep me on progesterone to 16weeks and I weaned off estrogen this week (I’m 13+3) as i was too nervous to stop it earlier, I’m on aspirin Clexane plaqnueil and steroids too but not sure what the story on weaning off them is yet!

Depends what you’re on but I have progesterone until 13 weeks. Then I’ll go cold turkey. Apparently the placenta takes over them so I think it’ll be fine. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

@Feliciacat are you taking any estrogen?

Hi BellaRose! I actually remember you from another thread. I’m so glad things are going well for you. I was only on progesterone, not anything else.

Same!!! Had my 12 week scan yesterday and all is looking good but I'm so nervous for stopping my meds given it was a fully medicated FET.... I haven't felt a lot of trust in my clinic. Had to fight for extra progesterone etc after 2 previous losses.

I am glad to see you're doing well too 😊.

I think the placenta takes over progesterone production by around 12 weeks so it should be ok. Sorry your clinic experience wasn’t great. My clinic was good and that’s the advice they gave me.
