My daughter (21) found out she is pregnant yesterday. She’s about 4 weeks but tonight has started bleeding and got severe stomach pain. She’s refusing hospital but I’m so worried for her. What can I do to help her?

Call an ambulance. It could be an ectopic pregnancy if the pain is severe and she may require emergency surgery.

She needs to check it isn't ectopic

Be bloody firm with her. It’s reckless to refuse medical attention in pregnancy if you’re being and in severe pain.

If she’s considering abortion, tell her she can resume those decisions tomorrow but tonight she needs a doctor.
