Hi is this normal for blood thinning injections to cause this bruising

You bruise a lot easier when on blood thinners, the smallest bump will bruise and you may not even realised you've knocked yourself

Found you! Thanks for starting a thread.

Have you phoned 111?

I can't see any picture within your thread but this was my bruising on my stomach after about 6 weeks of blood thinners. All was fine and it went away quite quickly. It only once got that bad and then the rest of the pregnancy was fine, although I moved from stomach to thighs around 16 weeks.

Glad it turned out to be OK and thanks for sharing @EmzoElle

@Charlotte2990 posted a photo on another thread and it looked a bit like yours. Let us know how you are, please, when you have time.

I’m 22 weeks my stomach and thighs are so bruised from injecting every day since I found out I was pregnant.
i try and rotate areas. I haven’t worked out why some days I get awful bruising and other days it’s fine. I would do the injections slowly as I’ve heard this helps with bruising

Thanks @Charlotte2990 , your bump looks very cute apart from the bruise.
Sorry for sending you off the other thread, but it was so you'd get some attention. So exciting to have a beautiful baby to look forward to.
Hope all is OK, and very best wishes.Flowers
