Flowers in a boys nursery?

My sister in law made a backwards comment about me putting flower sticks all over the wall as a feature wall when I dont know the gender of baby. I have a boy already and from scans it appears baby is a boy from what we've seen but still keeping it a suprise as you never know. Personally flowers don't make the room any more girlie and if anything the decoration is more for me as I'm moving into that room to be with baby whilst toddlers in the other room with dad. It also provides colour in the room. In the future there will be a bunk bed there most likely so it'll be covered. I've put a picture, not of the wall as I don't have that, but of the stickers itself. Personally I don't want a boring beige room like she has for her kid! Her opinion aside, I'm curious what others think? The rest of the room has hints of browns, purple navy's... autumn colours basically and is unisex. Thankyou I know this may seem minor but I'm a few weeks away from birth and for some reason everything plays on my mind more than normal!

The baby is not going to know or care what is on the walls, so decorate with whatever makes you happy. Your sister in law is a bit bonkers though! No need to be rude about her interior decoration though, one person’s boring is another’s tasteful. Neither of you are doing it for the child’s benefit as the child can express an opinion! Enjoy doing what you both like now until they decide they want a goth Barbie bedroom.

I think it would be ideal if your SIL didn't make negative comments about how you've decorated. Why shouldn't you have nice colourful flower decorations? Anyone can like flowers regardless of their sex. At some point in the future you can follow your child's interests with room decorations but for now you enjoy your 💐 flowers! xxx
