So going from my LMP I'm 12 weeks, however I went to my first ultrasound yesterday and they found out baby is only 8 weeks...

I assume this just means I skipped my period in February but still managed to ovulate? Or had a longer cycle...

I know this may sound stupid but I just get highly anxious over things and feel like im overthinking it.

When did you first get a positive test? Did you not test after your first missed period?

This can mean one of various things. You may have ovulate later or had a longer cycle etc, or unfortunately there is a chance it means the foetus isn't growing properly. Have they arranged a re-scan?

Just book a future scan to check and make sure.
But this might be so normal, this is probably different but I have PCOS. I didn't have a period for almost seven months when I fell pregnant. We were trying but I didn't think it was possible, I thought the body had to prepare with a cycle. Our scan landed up being 5 weeks old at the first one. He is now almost four months, and a healthy baby.

Having late ovulation different cycles is so normal, we always think of a cycle as 28 days. But it can be 30s, 40s etc all healthy cycles. So try relax, tell the next scan.

I tested a week after my missed period in February and it came back negative so just assumed I'd just missed a period or it was going to be super late , then a few weeks later started getting some out of the ordinary symptoms for me personally, so tested around 20th March and that's when I got a super clear positive and it came up instantly

Yes so I had my scan a few days ago and they've booked me in for 3 weeks time (ish) to have another scan ☺️

Thank you, 🙏🙏

I think i just took it from my LMP because they had been regular . I'd been having regular periods from July, sometimes a few of them were longer cycles, but they'd still happened.
