When did morning sickness start?

Hi,

Currently 7w 3 days and feeling very anxious because I haven't felt sick at all. In fact, I feel perfectly fine. This is making me feel very uneasy. Is it normal to not feel sickness? Or perhaps it just hasn't started yet and will begin soon? no idea what to expect, and just unsure what I should be feeling.

It's normal for many women to have no morning sickness at all.

With my first, I didn’t experience any morning sickness. The only nausea I got was around 8 weeks but only when my stomach was empty. With my second, I started having morning sickness with all day nausea at 4 weeks which got worse at 7 weeks with me being actually sick. Every pregnancy is different

I felt nauseous at about week 8/9. Not classic morning sickness in terms of I was physically sick more times in the evening. I wasn’t nauseous every day, there isn’t a set normal, you may be lucky and avoid it all together!

Thanks all. I guess I have just seen a few posts about sickness recently, and found myself a bit worried about not experiencing it. I know every pregnancy is different, so I shouldn't worry. Is anxiety symptom because I definitely have that Grin
I have felt very tired at times, and a few days at work I've had a sore back which I have never noticed before so I suppose I should count myself lucky for now.

In three out of my four pregnancies I had no morning sickness at all. I had my only son in the pregnancy I experienced morning sickness, but think this was just a coincidence as I had other symptoms which only happened with him too. My sickness was only first thing in the morning and only lasted a few weeks until 12 weeks.

I had two easy pregnancies, no sickness at all, and two healthy babies (now 9 & 11!)

Congratulations! Hope you sail through your pregnancy!

It can be different in every pregnancy. With my first it started at 9 weeks and with my third it was really early, at 5 weeks. With my second it didn't start until 12 weeks, which coincidentally or not was when I stopped breastfeeding my first. In all cases it stopped around 20 weeks, and I was utterly miserable with it.

Hopefully you'll be one of those lucky women who doesn't get it at all.

Thanks for the reassurance! It is so interesting how different pregnancy is for everyone.

I had a little bit of occasional nausea between about weeks 5-8, but I was only physically sick twice, both at the end of the day when I was starving (so it was just bringing up liquids I'd drank). Otherwise I'd say I had no real sickness at all.* *And most of my friends with babies had no sickness at all during their pregnancy. I actually think no sickness is much more common than we think, it's just portrayed as a given via the media, so we expect to experience it.

First pregnancy nausea started at 5 weeks sickness by 6 weeks, needed days off sick and on antiemetics by 7 weeks. Resulted in my daughter
Second pregnancy same as first pregnancy, resulted in miscarriage at 10 weeks
Third pregnancy vomiting started at 4 weeks by 6 weeks I couldn't move from the sofa, signed off work for a month. Miscarriage at 10 weeks
Fourth pregnancy a little nausea as 7 weeks triggering me taking a pregnancy test. Precautionary antiemetics prescribed but was able to stop them after a couple of weeks with minimal nausea and no vomiting. I'm now nearly 17 weeks!

As you can see with me severe sickness wasn't an indication of a successful pregnancy!
