Ovulation/Pregnancy after implant removal

Hi all!

This week I’ve had my Nexplanon implant removed. Implant was in since July 2024 after termination (started a new job literally 2 weeks prior, middle of house move with house in ruins - it could not have been further from the right time). Now all has settled down, we’ve decided to start TTC for baby number 2 ( I have 1 lg aged 11)

My question is - how soon, in any of your experiences, has fertility returned following implant removal? According to my Flo app, I’m in peak ovulation period right now, but ovulation strips show low LH, I assume due to the implant my normal cycle is yet to resume properly.

Congratulations on starting your journey to baby number 2!

I had my implant out in June last year and we didn’t properly start TTC until August, but I was pregnant by the end of October. Ovulation is harder to say as I wasn’t familiar with how the tests worked to start with, but was definitely ovulating by September.

I think it varies to be honest. I had my implant out back end of August and was pregnant by the October. Just do the ovulation sticks for a solid month to get an idea of what your body's doing x

I had my implant out jan 16th this year and am expecting my second baby in October! My first positive test was Feb 14th which I wasn't expecting anything so quickly! It can happen as soon as you have it removed!

I had my implant removed March 2024, got a period 28 days later then had regular periods every 28-30 days. Conceived in September 2024 - our first month trying!

DH is convinced we “need” to do it twice a day this month… I’ll tell him let’s wait until my next period comes before any of that lol

I got pregnant the night of having mine removed, so my due date was calculated from two weeks before I had the implant removed.

I had mine out Sept and found out I was Pregnant in January, currently 16 weeks, Good Luck! 😊

Yes I bled for about 4 days on the 19th Jan x think I conceived last couple days of January/first day of February
