I’m 8 weeks today, been for my first midwife appointment and said I had Blood++ in my urine, I haven’t visibly seen any blood but now I’m panicking something is wrong
has anyone else been through this and was everything okay

This happened to me, too. I had previously been spotting so assumed it was that. However, I mentioned at the midwife appointment I thought I might have thrush so they tested me and it came back positive. The midwife seemed pretty sure that could also be the cause. (Apparently it’s quite common in pregnancy). Have you had any other symptoms? The way one nurse described it to me, our bodies are going through so many hormonal changes that it can affect any number of things (eg sensitive blood vessels in & around your cervix etc). Did the midwife say they were doing any further tests?

Try not to panic (easier said than done, I know - I’m now 14 weeks & the anxiety is still there!) but the good news is it’s not a large bleed or anything you would have noticed, so that suggests to me it might be be something small/insignificant. Sending positive thoughts & big hugs, these weeks are a rollercoaster of emotions! ❤️

She didn’t seem concerned at all just said they’ll send it off to be tested, no other symptoms just worrying hearing blood isn’t it?! I haven’t actually had any bleeding so shocked me aswell which doesn’t help☹️
thank you, that’s abit more reassuring🩷

Have you ever needed a urine test before pregnancy? I always used to have microscopic blood in urine due to a medical condition, not pregnancy-related.

Just to add - it didn't cause any problems either in pregnancy or before, so I don't mean to worry you! Just to raise that the reason could be something not pregnancy-related.

I’ve had 2 children already and don’t ever remember having anything like this before, hopefully it doesn’t take too long for the test to come back, maybe just a UTI just always panic with the unknown
