If you had a chemical pregnancy and usually have light periods, what was the bleed like?

My periods are usually really light/scant (although often painful), wondering what I should expect with my impending bleed from a chemical?

Obviously everyone is different but I don’t have much blood generally

It was no different for me, I was about 6wks pregnant. The lining hasn’t had much chance to thicken at that stage. How many weeks are you?

I had a very early chemical and it was just like a normal period

4w6d so v early! Had bad cramps briefly earlier and a small bit of something came out whilst I was in the bath but no bleeding otherwise yet. I usually get painful periods so just anticipating what it’ll be like (and the rest of my work week)

I would think it would just be like a normal period then. It sounds like you are only 6 days past your period date, so the lining won’t have had any time to thicken in 6 days.

so far, it’s been more blood (but not drastically, but different consistently - thicker and darker) and pain for longer. Interesting though as I worry about thin lining issues, and a slightly heavier period is encouraging in that maybe it does get thicker!

Hi,
Mine was slightly heavier than normal at 4+6, and given they are usually light it wasn’t a problem for me.
Also to let you know I did conceive on the next cycle and currently 15 weeks pregnant. Best of luck x
