Is it possible this is an evap line? I have a marina coil fitted I can’t be pregnant can I?

That's quite a strong line. Did it appear within the right timeframe? What made you do a pregnancy test if you don't think you can be pregnant?

yjo25 · 13/04/2025 21:24

Yeah normal time frame.

Well today I emotionally fell off the rails, cried from the minute I woke up and stopped about 3:30pm (no particular reason). When I was talking to my mum after I’d calmed down I’d just mentioned that I’d been spotting for the last couple of days. I’ve had no problems or period since having my coil. Of course she gets on Google and brings up various things and all of them say to test. So when I got home I had a test from when I had my daughter and did it expecting nothing.

Is the test in date? It doesn’t look like it has colour (?).

Best to take another one.

Oh gosh. That does look positive to me…

I got a false positive with this brand, is it ASDA?

I think it’s Asda or Tesco can’t remember.

my ASDA one looked liked this and I got a false positive. Was around a year ago. I also know someone who got pregnant while having the coil fitted.

My head is just spinning until it confirmed one way or another.

It does look positive. Can you get a digital one?

I’m going to get up early and see if I can get one before work.

I’m wondering for the ladies that have had false positives with these tests if their lines were as obvious as the one in the photo.

I’ve had an evap line before (many years ago) but it didn’t have much colour and it didn’t come up in the time frame.

ackarackaru · 14/04/2025 09:22

I’ve only ever had evaps on blue dye tests and the lines are much thinner or if they’re thicker they have no colour.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 14/04/2025 09:26

I don’t think it has colour to it. I had Asda ones years ago and they came up with really convincing evaps. Cruel when you’re desperately TTC.

Get a red dye test if you can or a digital with weeks indicator. Apparently the boots red dye tests are pretty good but I’ve not tried them.
