Hi everyone hope you’re all well 😊
I know I’ll more than likely have a few people on this post who won’t be happy about this but I’m honestly not a people pleaser and you don’t have to express your negativity on my post just keep scrolling 😂

so guys I’m currently 37+6 weeks pregnant with my second baby still no signs of her coming yet but she’s definitely head down I just need to know how you all encouraged labour? as with my first child he came at 37+2 he wasn’t waiting for anybody haha but I did have HG right from 6 weeks until he came into this world, I know baby’s come when they& your body is ready but I’m just struggling at this point to even get out of bed as I’m constantly drained, she will push her head down onto a nerve which affects me from walking as it causes shooting / cramp pains in the top of my thighs and not forgetting to mention the worse back pain, do not get me started on heartburn because no matter what I eat it happens and it gets to the point where I’m throwing up 🥲 I feel guilty on my little boy because I want to do things with him but I just really don’t have the energy to do so… pleaaase help me guys

Keep active. Putting my desk into the loft seem to trigger my labour with my daughter.
There's not a lot of evidence for most of the old wives tales but nipple stimulation does have some evidence that it can help bring on labour.
A previous early labour doesn't necessarily mean the next will come early. I was born at 37 weeks and my little sister 41 weeks!

I walked lots, gravity helped for me! I had 2 very quick births and was very active right till the end. Good luck!

Mine were both overdue. I went into labour naturally as soon as I’d resigned myself to needing an induction. I remember all the difficulties with late pregnancy. It can be really tough. Hope you have a straightforward birth and you don’t go overdue.

Thanks everyone!
spoke to my midwife today and if still nothing by the end of the week then I’ll be having a sweep next Wednesday🤞

37 weeks isn't even full term what's the rush

redrobin89 · 14/04/2025 17:49

Probably a coincidence but I went curb walking & that night I went into labour. Second baby, nothing helped - I was induced 😅

2nd baby’s clearly are stubborn 😂 to be honest I was a lot more active with my first I walked almost every day until my waters went, with this one I’m just drained but my midwife told me yesterday I’m low on iron so I’m just waiting for my prescription to come through to get them, as well as her pushing her head down on nerves which I struggle to walk absolute nightmare lol I got a birthing ball yesterday so I’m going to use that as much as I can

Not much help but currently 40+3 with 2nd baby and no sign :( had a sweep on wedneday and lost some of my plug but nothing else… have tried miles circuit, some YouTube activating labour videos, kerb walking, raspberry leaf tea & clary sage oil.. 1st baby was on time so wasn’t expecting to go overdue 🙈

Same here I didn’t think I’d last till 38 weeks nearly 39 but here I am 😂 her dads birthday is on Sunday so she might come then haha or do what my little lad did he came on the 19/05/19 she could come on 25/04/25 who knows I can already tell she’s stubborn lol, Ive been high risk since 20 weeks as she came up with an echogenic bowel but that all cleared now its her growth slowing down then catching up so I thought they would’ve started me off early.

I was the same was in and out of hospital with different issues from 34 weeks worried she would come early now fed up she’s not appeared haha! It’s my dad’s birthday tomorrow so wondering if she’s waiting to appear on her grandads birthday! Must be a girl thing I thought boys were more likely to be late! Will keep my fingers crossed you get some movement soon x
