I am doing my first round of IVF next month. Please give me all your tips and advise for a successful round.
Thank you in advance!

Exciting! I had ivf in 2023 and from 7 eggs got 6 good and excellent grade embryos.

The fresh transfer didn't take but my first frozen one did. I think frozen now have good success rates due to your body being more your own again after egg collections and the hormones from the stims, but women in my ivf group on here got pregnant from fresh.

For my frozen success round I took high dose vit D, and I had my progesterone upped as I spot between cycles anyway (weirdly not since having my baby) and it was just above the clinics threshold of 35 but I wanted it higher after I bled before official test day of my fresh transfer while just on pessaries. Not all clinics check progesterone before transfer, especially on first round but worth asking.

I found being in a ivf group on the infertility forum really useful on here, with ladies doing it all at a similar time, to swap stories and advice.

Best of luck to you!

Hey! I’m starting my first round potentially in the next couple weeks. Like the previous poster I’ve been taking high dose vitamin D and also DHA and 300mg Co enzyme Q10. I’ve also got a fertility acupuncturist. Have you tried that? The success rates are pretty promising. I’m not really into the holistic type of medicines but I thought at this point I’d give absolutely anything a go, and it can’t worsen my chances.

Best of luck and take care of yourself!

Don't put pressure on yourself, it is out your control x
