Hi,

i just really need some advice please,
I have been experiencing early pregnancy symptoms
feeling sick throughout the day, funny taste in my mouth, headache, exhaustion, very emotional and constant urge to pee. My period isn’t due for 20 days, I had a smear done last week and had a bit of a bleed, which is normal, I may have mistaken that for a period.
I have done a test and there is a very faint line, I got a different one today and it came back negative, I am confused, had anyone tried the new blood test pregnancy test? Are they worth a try, I need to know really as this is very unexpected and my ex has left me for another person, could it be possible or am I overthinking it?

If your period is genuinely not due for 20 days then you haven’t even ovulated yet this cycle to fall pregnant. When did you last have unprotected sex?

As pp said, not really possible for this cycle is your period is 20 days away. Even for a long cycle.
When was your last period prior to medical test?
If you're unsure about the test being a real positive vs an evap, perhaps try in a couple of days and see what the line does then

My last period was the 5th march, it lasted 3 days, I’m just going off the Flo app, i had unprotected sex from 20th march til 1st April ,

So how long normally is your cycle?

Wait until your period is due and take another, if you can’t wait that long at least try to wait another week and see how it comes out.
You might trick yourself into thinking you have pregnancy symptoms by overthinking it, it can happen.

I mean the length of time between your periods. So do you have a 28 day cycle? Or longer or shorter?

they are regular, never had an issue with my periods, usually the beginning of every month

In which case you probably aren’t pregnant. If your last period was 5th March you would have been due on sometime last week. So it’s very likely the bleed you had was that. Because if you were pregnant you’d be late for your period now and a test would be very obviously positive.

It is possible you ovulated late of course. If in doubt take another test in one week. If that’s still negative then I’m pretty sure you’re not pregnant.

Most of the time, if you have enough HCG in your system to give you pregnancy symptoms, you have enough in your system to show on a test.

Wait you normally have a regular cycle and your last period was 5th March, then your period can't be 20 days away?
You're either late or have your dates wrong.
If you're genuinely 20 days away from your period then it's nonsense to test as you would be about day 8-10 of a regular cycle so haven't ovulated yet/have just finished your period?
If you're late then you'd have a clear positive now.
