Okay so I feel totally crazy and maybe I should see my GP but I don't want to seem like a nutcase so just looking for advice/validation on if I should make an appointment.
I am trans (he/him) and have been on testosterone for years, but I know several guys who got pregnant on T so it's definitely possible. I had unprotected sex about 25 weeks ago in October 2024, tested about 4 weeks later in November and it was negative. I have not had sex since. As a separate decision, I also stopped taking my testosterone in October 2024 with the intent to wait for my cycle to come back so I could get pregnant. Since then, I have not had a period. I have gained weight in my belly, been very emotional, extremely fatigued, had a few more headaches and backaches than usual, etc. but because of the negative pregnancy test in November, I assumed it was all from just readjusting to an estrogen dominant hormone situation. I literally never even questioned it. But about four days ago I started feeling the strangest fluttering twitching feeling in my belly and I've never felt anything like it before. Its been coming every evening since then when I lay on the couch after being on the go most of the day. Last night it was such a strong feeling I could feel it with my hand on the outside of my belly just to the left of my belly button. It freaked me out enough that I went and bought another pregnancy test, which also came back negative but then I made the mistake of googling it and apparently it's not impossible for them to be false negatives this late in the game, but it's still super rare so I don't want to make a whole thing out of nothing and embarass myself. Does anyone know any way to counteract the hook effect with home tests? Is it worth going to my GP or should I trust the home tests?
