I am TTC DC2. Dont even know if I am pregnant as its too early to test. Just got a bad pain in my lower side thats been there for a few hours very difficult to get comfy etc - I could only be pregnant from Sunday or last night which is obviously VERY early - is it too early to have an ectopic? Should I be worried about this pain?

Hi eeny
My feeling is it's a bit early to be having pains if it is ectopic. Mine started when I was around 5 weeks (so, three weeks after you think you conceived). Pay attention to the pain though. If you still feel it over the next couple of weeks, you should get it checked out. And remember that you need a transvaginal scan that early on, they may well not see anything from one done across your stomach. They also ascertain whether it's ectopic or not by testing hcg levels in your blood.

i'm sure it's nothing but much better to be forewarned, as tehre are a lot of doctors who sxhould be better informed out there than they are.

Yes possibly to early, I was about 3-4 weeks after OV before started mid cycle bleeding and severe cramp like pains in abdo (like early labour pains!) but best to keep an eye on it.

ditto ectopic.org.uk, ask for advice on main board to get more info

do. The board is really well moderated - someone will be along with advice before long. Also, I THINK there is a number you can ring in the morning.
