My little boys scan (first image) looks the same as my current pregnancy, does this mean it’ll be the same gender?

Mine were identical- both girls.

Demleigh22 · 08/04/2025 19:26

I find out Sunday but looks like this one may be my third boy!

Mine were identical - girl, then boy. They’re 7 and 3 now and still look very much alike 🙂

AliBaliBee1234 · 08/04/2025 19:49

There is no difference in bone structure until around 7 years of age so no, it makes no difference.

Presume you went into this also happy to have another boy so congratulations on a healthy baby

AliBaliBee1234 · 08/04/2025 19:51

Actually do you have any other photos? you possibly have a nub shot here but unsure

WorldMap24 · 08/04/2025 19:55

I don't think these pictures look identical

TruthOrNo · 08/04/2025 19:57

Amazing the baby can tell you their gender already.

Not sure of the sex though.

Thankyou! Unfortunately this is the only picture I was given

Sorry I must have got the terms mixed up, I didn’t mean to offend anyone

I remember my sisters two pregnancy scans looking identical and thinking it would be the same gender but she has one of each.

remaininghopeful23 · 08/04/2025 20:14

These are so different imo!! Totally different chin, nose, even forehead size is different. No idea about the sex.

Just ignore them. I see this comment all the time and it's sooo boring. People just say gender because the scans to find out are called gender scans.

Congrats again!

It says ‘gender’ on every single scan document in my hospital notes - and there have unfortunately been many scans this pregnancy as my baby has a complication where their sex is actually important.

I know it’s an important distinction so don’t need that pointing out or explained but if even medical professionals haven’t felt compelled to have the categories changed to male/female, it’s obviously going to be used interchangeably with ‘sex’ among the general population too.

YourCraftyGreyOP · 08/04/2025 21:25

Looks like a boy nub to me.

Eminybob · 08/04/2025 21:29

Gender has long been used as a synonym for sex. It’s only the woke brigade who insist they are 2 different things.

I’ve had different responses on whether there’s a nub or not! I’m not sure if it’s just before the cord, if that is the case it does look like a boy nub

I thought boy nub too.

Towards the end of my pregnancy I had a 3d scan and the babies face was shockingly identical to our son! We assumed SHE would be another boy 🤣
