Change in movements-change in position?

The last couple of nights the movements have changed. Before after dinner they would be fairly strong kicks/ripples above the belly button but now I’m not getting that. They are much lower down and like spasms. Could this be due to the baby moving position? I went in for reduced movements yesterday to get checked. Did anyone experience a change like this? 28 weeks

Yes, I did when around the same stage of pregnancy with DS. Spent a day pushing then 2 year old DD round Whipsnade in a buggy, must have overdone it (or DS just really liked the zoo) but I felt him turn and he finished breech. Went for a check up that night and all ok. I wasn’t up for having them try to turn him, so I eventually needed a C-Section (which turned out to be an easier recovery for me than my “natural” labour with DD).
How did the hospital check go?

The check up was heartbeat monitoring which was fine, no scan

I'm 29 weeks and I've felt movements all over the place for weeks. They're usually in one place in the morning and move somewhere else later in the day, only to move back a few hours later. Sometimes I feel baby kick in two different places at once. I've been in a couple of times for reduced movements and had a scan on Friday to find baby was breech. 🫠 Nobody said anything about trying to turn baby yet so will just cross that bridge when I come to it.

I’m now almost 31 weeks and the nature of movements has changed in the past week or so for me too, frequency is roughly the same since the beginning (usually some movements in the AM, some in the PM, and most active late at night), but now it feels more like baby is stretching and pushing rather than kicking. I’m hoping the midwife can figure out the position at my next appointment.

I had the same around 28/29 weeks, a very noticeable change in the type and strength of movement. For me it was also because baby had flipped and is now breach. Hoping that changes!!
