Braxton Hicks at 23 weeks?

Been noticing the odd 'funny feeling', kind of like a period pain that passes. My friend said that it's Braxton Hicks, that the uterus contracts all the time (being what causes period pains in part) and you only feel them as it gets bigger, and that's what Braxton Hicks are. Is this right? I'm quite excited!

Im 25wks (Due August 27th)and have been experiencing them for the last two weeks or so...

That theory is interesting as with my first baby (August 2005) i had them from this early too...
My labour from start to finish was 11 hours so pretty good going i guess for the first... I went from 0-10cm in 4hours....(ok i'll leave out the part where i pushed for over 3 hours)

Lets hope it is even quicker this time round...
