OK or paranoid

I am 29 weeks pregnant. I have struggled from several weeks ago to now in knowing if I'm feeling my baby kick or if it's something else. I have seen midwives who would check everything is OK with a scan and reassure me that there's a healthy, strong heartbeat. They said that sometimes the position of the placenta can make it difficult to feel movement but everything is OK.

Even after they check everything I try to use my hands to feel movement but I don't feel anything. I have tried being on my sides to see if I can feel kicks, caffeine and dabbing to feel something but I don't.

Lately I have been doing more bigger projects like decorating, gardening and that. I have been feeling off and have tried to feel any movements but again I don't feel anything.

I don't know if Im just being paranoid and wasted their time for no reason or if there's reason to be concerned.

Hi OP, congratulations on your pregnancy! What I would say is that it is always ok to go to the midwife to be checked over. They would ALWAYS rather be safe than sorry, you are never wasting their time. So if you want peace of mind, go and see your midwife.

IMO, the fact that you have never been able to feel baby moving very well means that right now is no occasion to worry. You might have a bit of a virus on you or it could just be that you're doing too much and need to rest. But as I say, go and get checked to be sure. There is never any harm in being cautious. Good luck with everything xxx
