period 3 days late but negative test

Has anyone else tested after a late period and had a strong negative test, to then get a positive days later? am I completely out this month or can it change after it being such a strong negative. hope this makes sense. im not feeling like my period is coming the only thing im noticing is slight cramp/twinging in my lower left side. Appreciate any feedback- thank you

No, when I've been pregnant I've always had the positive straight away. When I've been late on my and had a negative, I've gone on to get my period and not been pregnant. I think it's unlikely you are pregnant unless you have an irregular cycle.

With my first i tested positive on the day of my missed period.

However I'm currently pregnant with my second, I tested a few days after my period was due and negative, tested a week later and still negative then 2 or 3 weeks after that, I just knew something was off so tested and got a positive at like 7-8 weeks.

I'm sure I would have tested positive sooner than this had I tested shortly after but to be honest I just assumed I'd missed a period as I don't have regular cycles. It wasn't until the tiredness, extreme hunger and headaches kicked in that I thought no, this isn't normal for me.

Thank you for your message, I did think it is very unlikely to be pregnant but wanted to see if anyone had been through the same. Its just very strange for me to be late thats all

My negative test is about to be 2. I'd tested, got a negative, went off on holiday and started feeling iffy. Got back, tested again and it was positive!

I do have very, very irregular periods though.

Just wanted to update for any wondering that have had similar … I have come on this morning and to be honest it’s quite a relief because I have been feeling quite unwell up until now and was beginning to worry there was something wrong but I have the answer! Thanks all for replying! :) x
