Baby movements 20 weeks

Hi,
I am at my first pregnancy and still don't feel proper baby movements. 4 days ago I did the 20 w scan and everything was good and the placenta is anterior-high. Sometimes I have a feeling similar to bowel movements but it is not regular and not every day. For example yesterday I felt those movements all afternoon and today nothing at all. I am not even sure it was the baby to be honest but I am being a bit anxious. How do I know if it's bowel movement or baby?

Mine didn’t start properly until about 22 weeks, it’s really dependent on where placenta is etc.

When it happens you’ll know, I could actually see it on my tummy before I could feel it with any certainty

You have the same as me - anterior high. I only felt very very very gentle kicks at 21 weeks. Before that I could go days without feeling any movement. Now 23 weeks I can feel baby a lot more so don’t stress. It’s normal for when they are this size! If you are worried you can call your midwife or triage.

most women who have anterior won’t feel much til later
