Decorating Help

I am currently pregnant with my first child and will have them in two months.

Due to the bedroom situation at the moment, they will stay in my bedroom for a while after they are born before I move them to their own bedroom.

I have recently decorated my bedroom (paint, new furniture etc) with the crib in the corner, but I'm stuck on some ideas. The bedroom itself is quite small.

I was thinking of having a room divider, so the baby will have their own 'space', which might work and it may block out the light better for when they sleep. I have blinds in my bedroom, but I don't know if that would be enough to block out natural light. I can't have curtains because of how the window is shaped.

The ceiling above the crib is not the tallest, but I was thinking of having a canopy or maybe a hanging mobile. I have seen some canopies on Amazon and I can make the mobile with some materials I have available. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to have both of them.

If there's any advice that would be great!

The only advice I have is try and place the cot if possible so it's in the corner along from the door so when the door opens, light from the hall doesn't hit the cot. Our we one loved the mobile. We moved him into his own room at 2 weeks on the midwife's advice with a nappy alarm cos I wasn't sleeping with all the grunting.
