Worried

I did some touch ups in my kitchen and dining room today and got some paint on my skin when painting and washing the paint brush. I washed my hands straight away after getting the paint on my skin each time it happened. It had not even occured to me to wear gloves.

I suddenly googled "is it safe to paint when pregnant?" and have scared myself.

I'm currently six weeks pregnant and worried I will have caused half to little one.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

At 6 weeks, you don't have a placenta yet, so even if your blood was contaminated with paint (which is won't be, it was only a little bit on your skin) it wouldn't be able to get to the baby.

You’ll be fine but no more painting - I think the fumes would be more of an issue than getting it on your skin (which you washed off).
