Hi All,
I am very new to mumsnet so hope i’m posting in the right place.
I have recently found out that I am pregnant which i am overjoyed about. I have PCOS and don’t have regular periods at all and never thought I would be able to conceive after many failed attempts.
I am extremely anxious and have never been pregnant before so don’t know what’s normal or what’s not. I don’t have many friends or many supportive family members in my life. My mum passed away a few years ago so I would be pestering her for advice, but I’m just sort of left a bit clueless and emotional!
I have this dull ache very low down I wouldn’t say it’s extremely painful but just that I am very aware of it. At times it feels more like a light period cramp or like my bladder is full (but it’s not!) Is this normal? I do suffer with anxiety massively anyways but this is really making me worry. I just feel exhausted, headaches and just generally run down.
I am roughly around 5 weeks 4 days going by last period.
I would really appreciate any advice!
Thanks all x

Yes mild cramping / ache / pulling sensation all normal - usually uterus stretching and increased blood flow. Slowing down of digestion can also cause discomfort.

Welcome 😊 Yes, I had light period-like cramps for the whole of the first trimester. It is normal x

@Xwx1010@PurpleTurtleMooseThank you both so much for giving me a bit of reassurance.. I have also been a little constipated too so this makes sense. I think I’m just such a worrier anyways. Hoping I’ll get some extra support from midwives regarding anxiety! Thanks again x
