I’ve a horrible cold at the minute and been using Vicks. I read to not ingest or put up my nose. I’ve put around my nostrils and now panicking as I never even thought it would be dangerous and have done that for years when I’ve had a cold. I’m 36 weeks pregnant and getting uncomfortable. I asked the midwife and she just said it was safe to use as directed. I am panicking now

I’m one week ahead of you and just went to my practice nurse for a check up cos I have a bad cold. She told me I could use Vicks as long as it didn’t have Sudafed in it. I could only find a supermarket own brand one so I’m afraid to use it but I reckon the proper stuff should be ok.

I think it’s more camphor as it can be toxic if put in the nostrils or ingested. I only put around my nostrils as it helped so much but now I’m worried. It’s frustrating the amount of things you can’t use when pregnant.

Not sure this is much help, but I had 5 children in the 90s and 2000s and ate Vick from the jar throughout 3 of my pregnancies Blush
Adult children all fine Smile
