Blatant attempt to cadge <ahem> borrow some maternity wear

Some very kind MNers have given and lent me some maternity bits and bobs, but now the weather has got so hot and I have got so large, I am down to a couple of skirts

does anyone have a summer maternity skirt or two they might consider lending me please? I am pretty large so am guessing a stretchy size 14 might do, but probably larger to be realistic

anything considered but if you don't mind I will say no to stuff I don't like the sound of, to save myself the postage (which I will happily pay of course)

How far along are you Franny? You are quite welcome to all my maternity clothes. I have loads, but am due in 2 weeks and really only wearing a few bits and pieces which are comfy now I am a whale. I was going to pack them up tonight and take them to the charity shop but they are very nice really, and I'd be happy to package them up for you. I started as a 14 but have expanded so I would imagine most of my bits would fit. A lot of it has never been worn too, especially the summery stuff

browny · 15/05/2008 18:16

Hi littlelamb, hope you don't mind me asking, but if F & Z doesn't need all your clothes, do you think I could have them please? I'm having real problems trying to find anything at all in Liverpool... of course, if F & Z would like them all that's completely fine too... thank you .

NotABanana · 15/05/2008 18:18

I might have some chocolate brown cords, size 14, from Top Shop if anyone lives where it is a bit cooler.

FrannyandZooey · 15/05/2008 18:18

I would just like one or two summery bits - pref knee length type skirts in non-chintzy type pattern

I only have a few weeks to go so thank you very much indeed for offer but could I just have a couple of bits, and browny have the rest please?

Littlelamb, I'd be very grateful of the clothes, it's very kind of you to offer them and thank you F & Z for offering to share too, good luck for the birth and hope the next couple of weeks fly by for you .

browny · 21/05/2008 11:40

bumping for littlelamb .

MamaG · 21/05/2008 11:42

Franny I'm getting next bin bag tonight apparently, so will root around for you. I'm not huge yet so you can use them until I need them (if there is any of course)

FrannyandZooey · 23/05/2008 22:38

[hopeful]

poor HC just sent me some trousers etc and they just about fitted over one thigh
I am attracting my own asteroids

F & Z, hope this cooler weather is more comfortable for you, I can remember when I was due in August years ago and we had a heatwave, I think I wore the same huge tent-like dress every day because it was so cool... hope you find something comfy to wear soon .

harpsichordcarrier · 23/05/2008 23:13

I am that my clothes were too small
soz about that
how are you doing franny?

gigglewitch · 23/05/2008 23:14

hey go and look at freecycle too, there is lots of maternity stuff on our local one
(not being mean with loans, i'm err, size 8-10 and haven't found anyone who wants my cast off's stuff yet)

berolina · 23/05/2008 23:16

Franny I have a skirt I wore in the late stages of my pg last summer, borrowed itself but the lender doesn't need/want it back atm... it should be a bit above the knee of you... Blue with vaguely swirlyflowery pattern, H&M size M, very generous on me. Wannit?

berolina · 23/05/2008 23:16

a bit above the knee on you. ffs.

berolina · 23/05/2008 23:19

oh and 2 maternity summer dresses in M (H&M) - the smocking top/thin straps type. these are actually mine
