Gestational diabetes test

So I had my gestational diabetes test this morning, I felt fine during the 2 hour wait, I have had plenty of food and water since doing the test. However I came home and all I have done is sleep and feel absolutely shattered! I was told this is normal due to the rise and drop in sugar levels from the drink, however I feel SUPER dizzy and light headed and my vision keeps going a little blurry. This wasn't mentioned as a side effect or anything and I'm just wondering if it is normal? I feel like it is but also just not sure as it wasn't mentioned to me!

TIA x

I'd call the midwife / unit as these symptoms could be related to other conditions, just to be on the safe side

I had all of those after my GTT too. I started to get a mild headache, but by the time I was back home I had a pounding headache, felt dizzy/spaced out and was absolutely shattered. I slept for almost 3 hours after eating. My results did come back with GD unfortunately, so it may be that you’ve had the same crash and spikes with your glucose levels and that’s why you felt so rotten. I still felt a little out of sorts the next day but nothing like the day/evening of.
