I've been reading Mumsnet for years, but I finally joined to find someone in a similar situation to mine.
I'm 39, with a teenage daughter from my first marriage, and currently pregnant with my second—a little girl.
My husband had doubts about having children for several reasons, but one night, after a conversation about it, he unexpectedly "went for it." We were incredibly lucky—it happened in just that one instance.
However, after I told him I was pregnant, everything changed. His reaction was awful. I won’t go into details, but now I find myself navigating a lonely pregnancy despite being married/in a relationship.
I'm not here to complain or bash men—I’ve accepted the reality. But I’d really love to connect with someone who understands, someone to share milestones and small wins with. If you're going through something similar and could use support too, I’d love to chat.
Thanks.
