Morning sickness - I just want to feel normal

I’m suffering with pregnancy nausea with baby #3. Not being sick so much but I just feel dreadful constantly. I just want to feel normal and I don’t know what to do. I suffered worse than this with #1 and #2 but they were years ago and I don’t remember how I got through it. Does anyone have any tips please? I’m desperate.

@breakfastdinnerandtea See your GP - even if you're not actually being sick, you can ask for anti-sickness medication which can help. ❤️

I’m 7+1. Funnily enough, just after posting this I was off to the bathroom being sick. I feel a little bit better now I have but I know it’s only a matter of time that it’s back. I hate this part of it.
I will try and make an appointment with the doctor on Monday. They have signed me off work with nausea so they are already aware of it.

Ah I feel for you. Hopefully it passes soon. I used to keep rich tea biscuits by the side of my bed and would eat them before I got up to help the nausea. My main trigger was smells so sucking on sharp or tangy sweets used to help.

I’m struggling with this, I’ve just today picked up a prescription for some medication called prochlorperazine, I’ve had one this afternoon and seems to have taken the edge off, I’ve struggled with nausea 24/7 for 2 weeks solid now and it is relentless. I’m only 6+1 and the thought of it going on for weeks 😔 I feel for you!

Thanks all. I have a box of salted crackers by the bed but after being sick after eating them I just can’t face them. It’s worse when my stomach is empty but after lunch I just seem to feel bloated and full. I ate a clear soup with bread at around 12pm and nothing since, so I definitely had an empty stomach food wise when I was just sick but I couldn’t face eating because I didn’t feel hungry. I also don’t want to stuff myself stupid to stop from feeling sick.
Apologies for the pity party. I’m feeling properly sorry for myself!

I’m 20 weeks and still struggling with sickness! My main advice is eat little and often. For me it’s always worse in the morning particularly when I don’t eat within 30 mins of waking up. Make sure you eat the foods you crave, plain is definitely best at first and do reach out to the dr if needed.

Week 7 and 8 was absolute hell for me. I ate a cereal bar before even lifting my head off the pillow in the morning as that seemed to help. Snacked all day, something every hour, and then got anti sickness prescription! 17 weeks now still take the tablets but I do feel much more normal. Keep going you’ve got this x

Mine went the moment I had the baby. No more indigestion from that instant! I could enjoy food again :)
