Movements at 20 weeks

Hello!
I know that we aren't meant to worry much about movements before 24 Weeks but I have not felt my little one move all day yet. I'm 20 weeks and 3 days. This is my second so I'm pretty used to feeling them every day for about a week.

Have you had your 20 week scan @Kel33 do you know where the placenta is? Xx

Yes, Its posterior but low lying!

I had a low lying posterior placenta with my second and the movements were much less compared to my first. It had me worried too and I went in for lack of movement at 28 weeks. All was well. Baby was just kicking into the placenta so I couldn’t feel it.

I would call your midwife.
I'm 20+3 too (!) also with my second and feeling movement multiple times a day.
Last appointment my midwife said they don't expect a pattern of movement until 25 weeks but still to get in touch if anything felt 'wrong' and I would count nothing all day as being unusual.

I just think the 'worst' that can happen is a reassuring doppler or scan which isn't anything bad at all.

Thank you for your advice it's very appreciated. I was sat in tears by bedtime and then he started some little moves so maybe he was was having a lazy day
If he's not back to normal today I'm going to ring x

Glad you felt him! I know how worrying it can be.

Just iterating what everyone else says - I went in after a really similar experience with my second and the midwife was delightful, and really reassuring. The triage lady on the phone, however, gave me a telling off for not phoning in sooner (even though it was too early for a proper pattern of movement). I’d phone in anyway today, OP, and just check in with them.
