MRI while pregnant

My doctor said that they found a black spot on my 4th vertebrae while doing a CT scan. He wants to send me for MRI to make sure it's nothing 'serious '. He is 95% sure it's a benign tumour. I am in the process of trying for my rainbow baby. Is it safe to have MRI while pregnant?

Totally safe OP, one of the imaging modalities used in fetal research for this reason, as well as diagnostic imaging in pregnancy as in your case.

Yes it's safe.

Thank you so much for your reply. I was so worried and upset all day at the thought of having to put off trying until I had the scan, if I haven't conceived this month.

Hey OP due to a medical condition I've had MRIs in all my pregnancies and no probs, there's never been anything to suggest there's any risk to the baby x

Yes, I had one during pregnancy.
