Maternity - Qualifying Week and Average Weekly Earnings - confused

Hello!

can someone please help me… I am trying to work out what pay months will be included when they work out my AWE for maternity pay.

according to gov website my qualifying week is 25th May.

I get paid on the 25th of every month so my question is they work back 8 weeks on the two payday prior - will that be May as my QW is also my payday or two prior - April and march?

when on gov website it says what were the total earnings from 26th march to 25th may - am trying to conclude if that excludes march completely?

sorry maths is not my strong point but trying to get ball park figures in preparation for maternity survival!

thank you so much

It depends where you work. Your best answer is to speak to payroll.
where I am, my qualifying date is mid month and they count the 2 full pay days prior to qualifying week. So my qualifying weeks ended up being 11-19wks! So super early!
